Play It Forward
Removing barriers.
Creating access.
Raising the game for every kid.

Play It Forward is The Sport Collective’s commitment to accessibility in sport.
We know that for many families, the biggest barrier to participation isn’t interest: it’s access. Cost, equipment, transportation, or timing can make sport feel out of reach.
Play It Forward exists to help remove those barriers so more kids can experience the confidence, connection, and joy that sport provides.
This program allows us to support families who may need a little extra help getting started, without stigma, pressure, or complexity.
What is Play It Forward?

How It Works
Play It Forward is intentionally simple, flexible, and community-driven.
Through this initiative, TSC may:
-
Offer reduced or subsidized program fees
-
Accept gently used equipment donations
-
Provide community-supported program spots
-
Partner with local organizations to expand access
Support may look different from family to family, and that’s okay. Our goal is to meet kids where they are and help them participate fully.
Who It's For
Play It Forward is for:
-
Families facing financial barriers to organized sport
-
Children experiencing their first-ever sport
-
Families navigating transitions or temporary challenges
-
Community partners looking to support youth access to recreation
Support is handled discreetly, respectfully, and without judgment.
Why It Matters
Sport does more than build skills.
It builds:
-
Confidence
-
Belonging
-
Resilience
-
Social connection
Play It Forward helps ensure those opportunities are available to more children.
